Scope note
Digital prints made with an ink jet process, originally used interchangeably with "Iris prints," but now more often used to refer to high-volume editions of reproductions rather than high-quality original art. The term "giclée" was coined by the printmaker Jack Duganne in 1991 to refer to inkjet prints on high-quality paper, but the usage is now evolving to become broader.
English
Väljatrükid, mis on valmistatud tindiprits-protsessi abil, algselt oli termin kasutusel vaheldumisi „Iris-tõmmistega“, kuid nüüd viidatakse terminiga sagedamini suurtes kogustes välja antud reprodele, mitte tipptasemel originaalkunstile. Mõiste "giclée" lõi fotokunstnik Jack Duganne 1991. aastal, viitamaks tindiprits-tõmmistele kvaliteetsel paberil, kuid terminit kasutatakse tänapäeval laiemalt.
