KJØNNEFOSS poståpneri, på jernbanestasjonen, i Nissedal herred, Bratsberg amt, under Arendal postkontor, ble underholdt fra 1.4.1915 i stedet for det tidligere brevhus. Sirk. 13, 26.3.1915.

Navnet ble fra 1.10.1921 endret til TJØNNEFOSS. Sirk. 53, 23.9.1921.

Poståpneriet 4862 TJØNNEFOSS ble lagt ned fra 1.5.1969. Ny postadresse. 4860 TREUNGEN. Sirk. 13, 16.4.1969.
